Vodafone UK Expands Fix & Go Smartphone Repair Service to 14 Stores

Battery and Screen Replacements Among Most Common Repairs

Vodafone UK has expanded its “Fix & Go” smartphone repair service to 14 stores across the country. The service, which launched earlier this year, is now available for Samsung, Apple, and Google devices on any network, including out-of-warranty handsets.

According to Jon Shaw, Consumer Operations Director at Vodafone, the most commonly requested repairs are screen and battery replacements, followed by more complex fixes like camera lens replacements.

“We know how important having a working phone is to customers,” said Shaw. “Historically, repairs have been too expensive and time consuming, so Fix & Go looks to solve these issues.”

Pricing Starts at £49 for Battery Replacement

The Fix & Go service typically costs £49 for a battery replacement and £79 for a screen replacement. Parts replaced will be covered by a new warranty.

Customers can now access the service at Vodafone stores in White City, London Stratford, Oxford Street Experience, Cardiff, Edinburgh Princes Street, and Belfast Cornmarket.

Eight New Locations Added in October

In October, Vodafone added eight new Fix & Go locations:

  • Brent Cross
  • Plymouth
  • Burnley
  • Southampton
  • Swindon
  • Hanley
  • Sunderland

The expansion brings the total number of participating stores to 14.

Solving Common Smartphone Issues

With the Fix & Go service, Vodafone aims to make smartphone repairs more affordable and convenient for customers.

“My iPhone screen cracked after I dropped it on the pavement,” said Sarah Wilson, a Vodafone customer in London. “I was dreading the cost of getting it fixed, but the Fix & Go service at the Oxford Street store had me sorted in under an hour for less than £80.”

Another customer, Mark Thompson from Cardiff, praised the service for its quick turnaround on battery replacements. “My two-year-old Samsung wasn’t holding a charge anymore,” he said. “I popped into the Cardiff store and they replaced the battery on the spot for under £50. It’s like having a brand new phone again.”

Looking Ahead: More Locations Planned

Vodafone plans to continue expanding the Fix & Go service to additional stores in the coming months. The company sees the program as a key part of its commitment to customer service and sustainability.

“By making repairs more accessible, we’re helping customers extend the lifespan of their devices,” said Shaw. “That’s good for their wallets and for the environment.”

As smartphones become increasingly essential to daily life, affordable and efficient repair services like Fix & Go are likely to play a growing role in the mobile industry landscape. With its expanding footprint and focus on common issues like battery and screen replacements, Vodafone’s program looks poised to lead the charge.
