In-house writers and editors, plus independent fact-checkers, produce every review, guide and news story. No sponsored placements in editorial copy.
Data
Live deal feeds, price history and speed data are pulled daily from provider APIs and tracked over time so rankings reflect what's actually available today.
Commercial
Affiliate partnerships and advertising are handled by a separate team. Commercial terms never influence how deals are ranked or what a review says.
Product & Eng
The comparison engine, deal-health checks and internal tooling are built and run by our own product and engineering team.

Broadband Provider is an independent UK broadband publisher. We help households and small businesses cut through provider marketing, compare deals honestly, and get more from the connection they already pay for.

Our mission

UK broadband is confusing on purpose. Introductory prices roll over, "up to" speeds bear little resemblance to what arrives at the router, and comparison sites often rank whoever pays the highest commission. We started Broadband Provider to publish the guide we wanted to read ourselves: plain English, real testing, and rankings that don't move because a supplier wrote a bigger cheque.

How we work

The site is organised around four teams: editorial (writers, editors and fact-checkers), data (deal tracking, provider databases, price history), commercial (partnerships and advertising, kept firmly separate from editorial) and a small product & engineering team that builds the site and the tools behind it.

Paul has worked in digital publishing and search since 2007. He founded Kerboo, a link analysis platform that won two UK Search Awards for Best SEO Software, and has since built and advised a number of data-led publishing businesses. He set up Opportunity Hive Limited, the company behind Broadband Provider, to publish the kind of straight-talking, data-backed consumer guides he wanted to read himself.

Editorial standards

Every review and buying guide is written or edited by a named person, sourced from provider documentation and, where possible, hands-on testing or first-party data. We date and version-stamp updates, correct errors quickly, and keep advertising and editorial strictly separate. Read the full policy on our editorial policy page.

How we're funded
