Nexfibre Brings Gigabit Internet to Sleaford Homes
Sleaford residents now have a new option for lightning-fast internet as Nexfibre begins rolling out its full-fibre network across the town. The Coventry-based provider joins existing players BT Openreach and Lightspeed Broadband in delivering gigabit speeds to local households.
10,000 Homes Targeted in Initial Rollout
Nexfibre aims to reach 10,000 Sleaford premises in the first phase of their £8 million deployment. “We’re thrilled to bring our state-of-the-art fibre infrastructure to Sleaford,” said CEO Colin Bannon. “Residents can now enjoy reliable, ultrafast broadband for work, education, and entertainment.”
Sleaford homeowner Sarah Thompson, 38, expressed excitement about the expanded options. “With my husband working from home and our kids learning remotely, a stable high-speed connection is essential. Having Nexfibre as another choice is fantastic.”
Prices Start at £35 for 150 Mbps
Nexfibre’s plans begin at £35 per month for 150 Mbps download and upload speeds, with gigabit packages available for £55 monthly. The 18-month contracts include free installation and a WiFi router.
“The symmetric upload speeds are a game-changer for video calls and cloud backups,” noted Mark Wilson, 45, an IT consultant. “I’m considering switching to Nexfibre for the great value and performance.”
Fibre Expansion Continues Across Lincolnshire
Sleaford marks Nexfibre’s second Lincolnshire project, following their ongoing £15 million build in Grantham. The provider plans to pass 22,000 premises in Grantham by early 2023.
Neighbouring towns like Boston and Spalding have also seen recent fibre investments from Openreach and Lightspeed. “Lincolnshire is embracing the digital future,” commented local councillor Jane Evans. “We’re delighted to welcome Nexfibre’s infrastructure upgrades in Sleaford.”
Residents Eager to Experience Gigabit Speeds
As the first homes begin connecting to Nexfibre’s network, anticipation is building. “I can’t wait to try out gigabit internet,” said gaming enthusiast Daniel Brown, 29. “Faster downloads and lower latency will take my online experience to the next level.”
Sleaford’s burgeoning remote workforce is equally optimistic. “Reliable, high-speed broadband is vital for my graphic design business,” noted Emma Johnson, 33. “Nexfibre’s arrival gives me confidence I can deliver for my clients without connectivity issues.”
Fibre Rollout to Accelerate in Coming Months
With groundwork already underway, Nexfibre expects to connect the first customer homes by late September. The provider aims to reach 40% of Sleaford premises by year’s end, ramping up to full coverage in 2023.
Sleaford residents can visit Nexfibre’s website to check availability and register interest. As the full-fibre revolution gathers pace, the town is poised to reap the benefits of gigabit-speed broadband from multiple providers.
